Michael Agrella

My name is Michael Vance Ellis Agrella, and I am currently an undergraduate student at Belmont University. I intend on obtaining my BA, then on to graduate school. My primary interest right now is 20th/21st century continental French philosophy, particularly Georges Bataille. Other philosophers and theorists who greatly influence, inspire, or interest me include Marx, Lenin, Blanchot, Althusser, Derrida, Cioran, Hegel, Foucault, Barthes, Laruelle, Deleuze, Baudrillard, Merleau-Ponty, Lyotard, Ranciere, Levinas, Freud, Lacan, Irigaray, Kristeva. I'm sure there are others.... I am also an avid reader of fiction, plays, and poetry, my favorites include Lautreamont, Mallarme, Rimbaud, Beckett, Gide, de Sade, Proust, Novalis, Tennyson, T.S. Eliot, Octavio Paz, Jorge Luis Borges, Moliere, Sarah Kane, Eugene O'Neill, Kafka, Dylan Thomas, Artaud, Henri Michaux, Tzara, Louis Aragon, Rene Char, Genet, Chekhov, Rilke, Holderlin....
