Immigration Law Intern at Garza & Narvaez

I gained hands-on experience assisting with humanitarian and family-based immigration cases. I worked on matters involving VAWA self-petitions for survivors of domestic violence, T visas for victims of human trafficking, and U visas for victims of crimes, helping clients prepare affidavits and supporting documentation. I also assisted with family-based petitions, including drafting and reviewing I-130 forms, while learning to navigate USCIS procedures and requirements. This role strengthened my legal research, client communication, and case preparation skills.
