Marcus Burke

I hold an MS in Management from Texas A&M University-Commerce and have over a decade of experience decade in Information Systems supporting business operations and third-party logistics (3PL) fields, developing data warehouses, utilizing big data analytics (5 million lines or more), creating application databases, and managing web-based data delivery applications. I also provided systems analysis and advising on technical acquisitions, which helped to provide timely data delivery and reporting which gave key players insight into previously opaque areas, including collections performance, customs exposure and enforcement, contract performance. In particular, I developed a data warehouse and associated data marts for monitoring corporate controller performance, marketing and business intelligence, and inventory monitoring and reconciliation, as well as collecting and processing back-office data for key performance indicators, workflow facilitation and monitoring, legal compliance, and scheduling compliance. I also oversaw information assurance practices between local and overseas data servers, as well as the optimization and performance tuning of the RDBMS. I have worked with management teams around the world, and my background with enterprise systems, including those from Microsoft, SAP, Oracle, COGNOS, MySQL, and CascadeCMS, along with open-source platforms like Apache Server, WordPress, and many others enable me to produce high-quality applications for information systems solutions. I am a regular contributor to a number of programs on GitHub, and actively seek ways to leverage technology to make life better and easier for everyone.
