Queens University of Charlotte's Summer Institute in Chinese and Arabic (STARTALK) is a free summer immersion program made possible by a federal government grant that offers high school students the opportunity to gain proficiency in real-world Mandarin Chinese or Arabic from beginning to advanced levels. The rigorous program has a history of yielding impressive results as students are immersed in the language through cultural activities and personalized Skype conversations with native speaking tutors abroad.
