Marinda Huisamen

I come from a software engineering background, and decided to temporarily move over to the data world as I believe the future of software engineering will move increasingly toward data. I would love to understand the data world well and merge it with my programming background in order to make myself relevant for the future. I am a hardworking individual with an appetite for the impossible. I adapt incredibly well to any situation and have a keen sense of emotional intelligence. I am a good leader who leads by example and a lot of empathy for the human side of my industry which is often filled with very diverse individuals. I enjoy learning most of all, and will never feel like I know enough. I love the technical side of my work and always aim to become more skilled, and at the same time enjoy finding business value and purpose in what I do. I am excited to be in the field I am, because I think it will never stop surprising me and there will always be space to grow.
