- Participate in weekly team meetings to discuss new initiatives and on-going projects, as well as provide an informational update.
- Responsible for overall communication and research-based messaging, as well as marketing and branding activity, for Radford University Carilion.
- Serve in a multi-faceted role of public relations writer, multimedia producer and digital strategist for Radford University Carilion.
- Provide on-site coverage for events and programs.
- Serve as a media liaison.
- Plan, research and write content for publications, including electronic newsletters and e-mails, websites, press releases, information packets, and The Magazine of Radford University.
- Edit and proofread content across various platforms.
- Work closely with University Relations leadership and the three main campus directors to ensure consistency and professional from strategy to implementation and from approach to delivery in the broad areas encompassing design; web communications and strategy; and media services.
- Responsible for the Radford University Carilions brand standard and related compliance by creating original materials, reviewing information drafted by others, and providing advice and guidance to campus stakeholders in the areas of communications, marketing, and messaging.

- Manage all internal and external communications, as well as media relations for the College, including advertising, information management and electronic communications.
- Work closely with the Director of Enrollment Management and the Director of Admissions to design and implement strategies for student recruitment.
- Redesigned and currently manage the College website, www.jchs.edu and college Intranet. In 2012-13, oversaw the complete rebuild of our website and built our new Intranet myself.
- Designed the Colleges advertising and marketing campaigns, including graphic design, media placement and continued research to determine effectiveness.
- In 2013-14, oversaw a rebranding campaign for Jefferson College. Worked with multiple external vendors to implement the strategy after completion.
- Write for, edit and design many College publications, including the bi-annual Jefferson College magazine, the Jefferson Chronicle (circulation 8,000).
- Act as the College photographer.
- Manage a Marketing Specialist employee.
- Became the primary liaison between Jefferson College and Carilion Clinics Marketing, Research and Communications department.
- Began collaborating with the Carilion Clinic and Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine Media Directors to manage media requests and pitch relevant stories to media across the country.
