Lab Mentor at The University of Tampa

During my second semester at The University of Tampa, I was selected, upon recommendation of my Biology 199 Laboratory professor, to be a lab mentor for the Biology 199 Lab classes. Duties include:

Attending a prep meeting where mentors gather and discuss procedures for the next lab and prepare materials.

Participating in preparation for labs including creating agar plates, culturing bacteria, practicing wet mounts, setting up for dissections, and more.

Being available for questions during the lab as well as performing tasks deemed necessary by the professor.

Running an open lab section on Sundays to assist students with their questions and struggles in the lab.
