While some graphic artists grow into their craft through drawing, painting, or other visually creative means, Matt found his passion for design after first winding his way through skateboarding, punk rock, and playing guitar. He spent his teens skateboarding, his twenties playing in bands, and his late twenties into his early thirties as a touring, working musician. During this time, the need to make record covers, flyers, and t-shirts fell on his shoulders. After struggling with his drawing skills, he settled into working with computers to develop the graphics for these articles. As a long time musician, Matt has played guitar and bass in various bands, most notably in Boston's Pile. He has provided graphic design and/or screen printing services to bands such as Gnarwhal, Guerilla Toss, Yautja, Bad History Month, Kal Marks, Sadist, Big Mess, Coagula, and many more. He has also worked with organizations such as Triangle Manor, BLOWW Wrestling, LadyFest Boston, and Exploding in Sound Records among others. Matt is currently working on his Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design at Southern New Hampshire University. He works as a stagehand at the Chevalier Theater in Medford, MA and is a freelance graphic designer and screen printer.
