January, 17 2017 - Verified by Curry College- A Resident Assistant is a student staff member of Residence Life & Housing, and is an essential leader within the Curry College community. The RA shares the responsibility for implementing the goals and vision of Residence Life & Housing by promoting individual and community development. The RA assists students with personal and academic concerns, and helps resolve group conflicts that may arise and also serves as a campus resource.
- During the summer of 2017 I was able to obtain an internship with the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis Reconstructive Section. The Primary mission of the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section is to provide technical assistance to Local, State, and Federal law enforcement agencies with their investigation of motor vehicle crashes resulting in serious injury or death.
- In the summer of 2016 I work as a security officer for Six Flags New England. This allowed me to experience and obtain knowledge about how to deal with various types of objectives that deal with maintaining the safety of the surrounding area, writing incident reports and enforcing rules that if one breaks you take control of the situation and decide what the punishment will be.
- During the years of 2015 2018 I have the opportunity to help maintain the safety of the Curry College students by having to sign in student to different buildings and being able to be van certified by driving the on campus curry shuttle van for students to move throughout campus.
