Resident Advisor at Andrews University
My responsibility is to build rapport with the 65 ethnically diverse undergraduate male students on my residence hall floor. This is done in collaboration with the Meier Hall dean staff to reinforce a culture of inclusivity. I also utilize my training to act as a first responder in compromising circumstances. This includes mediating disputes between residents and being entrusted to handle confidential resident information supplied to me by either the deans or the residents themselves. Lastly I facilitate the front end of the Meier evening accountability process, enforce the upholding of the Meier Hall handbook, and perform a twice-monthly shift as a weekend Meier Hall front desk attendant.
