I believe in the importance of integrating academic research and methods with practice to solve real-world business problems. My doctoral studies began in 2014 at the University of Dallas (expected graduation 2017). I earned a MS degree in 2014 with emphases in organizational behavior and executive coaching from the University of Texas at Dallas. In 2011, I earned a MBA degree from the University of Dallas with core studies in both financial services and organizational behavior. In 1992 I earned a BA in communication studies from Texas State University. In practice, I have held many roles during my 20-year career in financial services. As a Certified Financial Planner, I have experience in investment consulting for plan sponsor retirement plans, relationship management, sales, contract negotiation, and other functions.
