Hello, thank you for visiting my profile. Below is a summary of my professional and academic journey. My technical career began at a high-tech factory in 2009. Before that, I was laid off and struggling to find steady work. I reached out to a career placement company, they helped me interview for a Maintenance Technician position at this factory. It was my technical experience gained in high school that helped me get the job. I was at this manufacturing facility for almost 6 years. While there, I became enthusiastic about it's technology; it was very interesting and there was a lot to learn. I also met some excellent mentors who helped me grow as a technical professional. I excelled as a technical troubleshooter and became a lead technician. About half-way through my time at the factory, I went back to school. I double-majored in Electro-mechanical and Electronics Technology. After graduation, I realized I was not done learning and my interest in STEM was increasing without bound. I decided to study Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE). To prepare for the engineering curriculum, I obtained a part-time math-tutor position. After I obtained an Associate's Degree in Engineering from QCC, I transferred to WPI. At this time, I left my technician position to focus on school and engineering. I currently study ECE with a minor in Computer Science. My primary interests are embedded systems, process control, sensors, IoT, and networking. My combination of technical troubleshooting expertise, engineering practice, and team project experience, will allow me to excel in the field of ECE.
