Mert Duezguen

I am a highly motivated candidate pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics at the Georgia Institute of Technology. As a problem solver with a passion for innovation, I am committed to making a positive impact in the field of biomedical engineering. I am particularly interested in the research areas of Cancer Technologies and Cardiovascular Engineering within the Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering. In addition to my academic pursuits, I am eager to further develop my skills in programming languages such as Python, C++, Matlab, and Java, as well as software programs such as CAD. I am an independent, friendly, flexible, and driven individual who thrives on working collaboratively with others, regardless of language barriers. I approach my work with a sense of urgency and a focus on achieving both interpersonal and intrapersonal goals. Resourcefulness and a strong problem-solving mindset enable me to overcome obstacles and complete projects to the best of my abilities. I am committed to building and leveraging relationships with my colleagues to achieve our collective goals. As a team player, I am always attentive to the direction of the group and focused on achieving our shared objectives. Effective management and delegation of details are key to my success, and I remain open to alternative viewpoints while advocating for ideas that support our project goals. My commitment to continuous improvement and inclusive team-building drives me to seek out research-based internships and job projects that will enable me to grow both personally and professionally.
