I started at ESCC, with only a homeschool (VA required) GED, suddenly my first door of experience opened, after a yearly check up at my dentist office. Maybe it was my lack of fear or charisma but I was offered a job on the spot, I became Dental radiation safety certified through ODU, participated in a mission of mercy project in the dental surgical tents, and continued to work there with Dr. Shelley for two years, until I picked up a part time job as a wine pourer for a family friends shop Gullhummack Gourmet Market, it started as a cashier job, and ended with me at the center stage pouring wines I had only read up on moments before, convincing my fellow oenophilas that I myself must be a sommelier. Although I have since learned humility that experience gave my tank enough gas to become a wine consultant which brought me 859 miles west to mid Kentucky where I am currently located. I found a consultant job through Martin INC. fine wines through Cincinnati Ohio who were looking for someone to take the western Kentucky region. While I was told I did break the companies records for new contracts within the first three months I also had to take a job working thirds at Wendell Foster home for individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities. The commission check came in, and that was that defining moment when I realized it would take more then me to reshape Kentuckys bourban loving pallets and I needed sleep. I also realized during that time, my love for helping individuals far surpassed my love for making a sale. Recently I have worked as a teaching assistant, director of the boys and girls club teen unit and art instructor. Also a volunteer sexual assault advocate. At this time Im looking into something permanent. Where I can use my skills to their fullest and help a company improve its human relations, and all around success.
