Work Experience

Mentor and Tutor at Youth for Christ

I am currently a mentor and tutor for Youth For Christ in Kankakee, Illinois. This is a great ministry that provides me the opportunity to invest in student's lives while helping them succeed academically. We meet twice a week, and spend thirty minutes each session talking about their goals, and how to achieve them. The next hour we work on their school work, and study for upcoming tests and assignments.

Summer Office Manager at Gateway Church of the Nazarene

I was offered the Office Manager position for the summer of 2015 while the church was in transition. My responsibilities were to help the rest of the staff so they would keep their ministries advancing, create and print the weekly bulletin, manage the vehicle schedule, collect new information of new visitors, and attend monthly board meetings. Many jobs in this position taught me more about church management and gave me the opportunity to learn more about the field I want to be in someday.

Swim Instructor Team Lead, Lifeguard, and Fitness Instructor at Mahaska County YMCA

Swim Instructor: Teach children and adults better techniques for swimming while achieving their personal goals. Lifeguard: Guard the pool and pool area while open. Swim Instructor Team Lead: Manage all group swim lessons registrations and classes. I was also responsible for many other various projects depending on the time of year. Fitness Instructor: Lead two aquatic fitness classes and help people achieve their goals.
