Majored in Educational Leadership
Delaware Valley University, Class of 2017
From Gilbertsville, Pennsylvania
Michelle D. Bozzini was born in upstate New York. When she graduated high school, she left for New York City to attend Hunter College. In order to pay for tuition, she worked full time waiting tables at Manhattan Restaurants. It was this experience that taught Michelle to persevere in order to achieve her goals. Right after graduating college, Michelle married Jim Bozzini (proprietor of Jim Bozzini Promotions and CEO of School Media Marketing) and moved to Philadelphia to be closer to family. In 1999, Michelle began her teaching career at Christopher Columbus Charter School. It was there that she began to take on leadership roles such as helping to write curriculum, develop community partnerships and lead teams of teachers. In 2003, Michelle and her family moved to Gilbertsville where she landed a position as a third grade teacher within the Boyertown Area School District. She again took on numerous leadership roles with a focus mainly on staff development and curriculum implementation. During her tenure at Boyertown, she also completed her masters degree in educational leadership from Wilkes University. In 2008, Michelle accepted a principal position within the Pottsgrove School District. For nearly five years, she led Ringing Rocks Elementary where she helped with its renovation process; and implemented various initiatives such as RtII, SWPBS, the Data Team Process and the Common Core State Standards. In 2013, Michelle became the Assistant Director of Curriculum at the Colonial Intermediate Unit where she provided professional learning to the region's school leaders. She also led a staff that provides auxiliary services to schools in the area. In August of 2015, Michelle was promoted at CIU 20 and appointed to the position of Director of Professional Learning leading the Curriculum and Professional Learning Department. In December of 2017, Michelle received her doctorate in Educational Leadership from Delaware Valley University.
