Mikayla Edwards

I grew up on a farm in rural Eastern Iowa where my family still raises ~500 head of beef cattle in addition to corn and soybeans. I am studying Animal Ecology with a focus on Interpretation of Natural Resources and a minor in Agronomy at Iowa State University where I will graduate in May 2017. Following graduation I would like to have a career working with farmers to implement conservation practices in order to improve water quality and decrease soil loss. My passion is agriculture because it is a continually improving and challenging area.
