January, 12 2018 - Verified by Southern New Hampshire UniversityI am an Intern at the Massachusetts State Police Fusion Center. I will be interning about two days every week, and using this experience for credit for a course. So far in my internship, I have gotten a tour of General Headquarters, and the Crime Lab and I have worked at the Fusion Center in Maynard, MA mostly learning about what the people here do and how they do it. I have worked closely with some of the Intelligence Analysts on a few different projects, and I have participated in webinars and watched training videos.
I am a Student Supervisor for Southern New Hampshire University Athletics. I started out working at Athletics as a student worker, performing basic duties including washing athlete's laundry, working sports games, working field house events that SNHU hosts and setting up and breaking down events. Now that I am a supervisor, I have more responsibilities which include the above in addition to also training new student workers, ensuring that sports games run smoothly, and working out of the new stadium that SNHU has just built.
I am an Administrative Assistant at Framingham Dental Center. My main responsibility is dealing with insurance companies, and patient insurance changes. I must fill out paperwork, communicate effectively with multiple insurance companies and verify insurance plans. In addition, I help out the Office Manager when she needs assistance, by answering phones and filing paperwork.
I was a Student Intern for my local police department during my senior year of high school. This was a course, so I went to my internship for about an hour and a half every day, and then did assignments relating to my experiences. During my internship, I mostly participated in ride-alongs, but I also got to attend some field-based trainings and work with some of the detectives at Holliston PD. I gained a lot of knowledge, and experience through this internship, and everyone that worked with me was especially interested in helping me and teaching me about criminal justice.
