A short story grappling with dealing not only a pest inside of a home, but also inside of the mind. This work was originally presented at the Sigma Tau Delta International Conference in Pittsburgh, PA (Spring 2025), and eventually published in Orpheus (Spring 2025), the literary magazine of Lindsey Wilson. It was also presented at the Spring 2025 Kara Mollis Conference on Women's and Gender Studies.

A historiographic analysis of how historians both during and after the reigns of Elizabeth I of England and Mary, Queen of Scots tell the history of these two queens, and how the historians own histories impact their telling. This paper was originally presented at the Spring 2024 Lindsey Wilson Honors Symposium and the 2025 Kentucky Honors Roundtable before being published.

Aren't I a Woman Now: Black Female Agency in the Reconstruction Era
This presentation focused on how Black women were the representation of what the era of American Reconstruction could have and did achieve, despite what other historians may perceive. This presentation was given at the Spring 2025 Honors Symposium.

Sex Dolls, Masculinity, and Society: A Negotiated Reading of Lars and the Real Girl
This feminist film analysis looks at where the film Lars and the Real Girl succeeds on a feminist level, primarily the humanization of women and the positive de-objectification of women, but also where it falters on a men vs. mental health perspective. This was presented at the Fall 2024 Honors Symposium. This presentation earned the Boyd-Lubker award for best presentation at the Fall symposium.

An analysis of the New York Times' Portraits of Grief series, and how it's disruptive of the obituary genre both before and after the events of September 11th, 2001 continue to demonstrate the fundamental shift in American death culture in the early 21st century. This paper was presented at the Spring 2023 Honors Symposium before being published.

This analysis breaks down Samuel Hunter's contemporary play The Whale, and grapples not just the symbolism and importance of the story itself, but how the story has been performed since it's conception, as well as the now popular A24 film adaptation. This was presented at the Fall 2023 Honors Symposium.

A film analysis of Ari Aster's first two films, focusing on the concept on if there can be a 'objective' better piece of art, as well as what makes horror truly horrific. The paper was presented at the Fall 2022 Honors Symposium before being published.
