As a student at SUNY New Paltz, I am always looking for new opportunities to expand my abilities and gain experience. I will be graduating in May 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Digital Media Production. While pursing my degree from SUNY New Paltz, I have gotten very involved around campus. I accepted positions with the SUNY New Paltz Office of Communication and Marketing as well as the Welcome Center. In addition, I work as the Programming Director of our campus TV station, NPC-TV. I love to keep learning, completing an internships with Sony Music Entertainment and Yashi, as well as a part time position with Vydia, Inc. Through my experiences in the marketing departments of all three companies, I have been able to refine my skills and gain real world knowledge that is unmatched by my colleagues and classmates. These three experiences combined have allowed me to learn and partake in industry standards for management, marketing, and business strategies and practices.

Media Relations at SUNY New Paltz

As a student assistant at the SUNY New Paltz Office of Communication and Marketing, I serve a key role in bridging the gap between administration, current students, and prospective students. I mainly work in Merit, an achievement platform similar to LinkedIn, in order to create a more impressive face for our students and those interested in enrolling. I work side by side with copywriters, digital media specialists, web developers, and designers. I reach out to all departments across campus with the intention of bringing Merit to the spotlight. As a great resource for students, Merit highlights awards and achievements that are sent out to each students' local news outlets.

Programming Director at WNPCTV at SUNY New Paltz

My responsibilities include pitching and planning new programs, reviewing/editing weekly content using Adobe Premiere Pro, and programming content. At weekly meetings, I work with each department and determine improvements for the following week as well as work to build a community among the team. To increase the stations prominence I constantly use sites such as Facebook, WordPress, Instagram, and YouTube to market original content, movies, and other content. Finally, I reach out to different departments across campus to increase student content played as well as develop new programs to add to our weekly productions.
