Mindy Ussrey

My career has been dedicated to animals since I graduated from college! The zoo field is where I found my passion for animals for 16 years, specializing in elephant care, management and conservation. Taking a break from the zoo, I am the Practice Manager of a local veterinary clinic, and the Secretary of the Board of Directors for Asian Elephant Support, a non profit dedicated to the care and conservation of Asian Elephants in their range countries. I am currently attending Miami University, Ohio in the Dragonfly Program to obtain my Masters Degree in Biology. I will return to the zoo field and dedicate my career once more to the care and conservation of endangered animals. I am a single mother of an amazing 13 year old boy. He and I love to be in the outdoors as much as we can. Hiking, biking, tennis, swimming, and bird watching are our favorite hobbies.
