Natalia Pifarre Garcia

I am an international Junior college student. I am from Spain and I study my major at Universitat de Lleida (Catalonia). I am studying a Double Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I really want to carry out these studies because the world of education has always been present in my life and since I was a child it has attracted my attention the fact of having the possibility to improve it. Furthermore, being a teacher is a challenge, it means preparing and helping students grow as a person and we all do not have to forget that children are the future of our societies. I now ask myself what I can do to grow as a teacher and do my best. Experiences and life-situations are important since they transform us and make us who we are. Studying at Millikin University has been my best choice because I like to communicate and work with other people in addition to helping, as far as possible, to all those who need it and I feel that Millikin University helps me to expand my knowledge in all the areas related to my future profession. I certainly believe that Millikin enriches me both personally and professionally and it's been a great opportunity to get in touch with American culture and its educational system.
