Nathan Sauder

After competing on the MCHS Rifle Team for all four years, I was awarded a small but helpful scholarship of $333.33 since it was divided among 3 people who applied for it. This was used towards my books and supplies for my time at HACC.

I was awarded the Best and Brightest Award for completing my entire four years of high school with a first or second honors in every marking period. I was the only male to be awarded this out of the 20 people selected.

I graduated from my hometown high school with a Magna Cum Laude cord. I completed my high school journey with a 3.88 GPA which led me to one of the highest honors the school can award a student.

I was invited to apply to the High Schools National Honor Society in the fall of 2022. I applied and was inducted in November. In this organization, I participated in community service events to add to my resume. In 2023, I was elected as the clubs secretary where I took notes during our meetings to share with the members.

I participated in the Manheim FFA for all four years of my high school career and continue to keep my foot in it through college. I was elected as the 2021-2022 Historian, 2022-2023 Treasurer, and the 2023-2024 President. I was awarded my Greenhand degree in 2021and my Chapter degree in 2022 along with the Star Farmer award. I was also given the Chapter Scholarship award from 2021-2024, and the Community Service award in 2021, 2023, and 2024. At the State Level Competitions, we call CDE's (Career Development Events), I won the State Competition with my team in the Marketing Plan competition in 2022 and won the state competition in Nursery and Landscape in 2023. Both of these times led my team to compete at the National Level in Indianapolis, Indiana. There, both these teams placed in the silver bracket with only a few spots between us and the Gold! Finally, in 2023 I received my Lancaster County Red Rose Degree as well as the Pennsylvania State Keystone Degree.

I participated in this hidden sport for all four years of high school and had a very successful time in. I was awarded the #10 All-Star in 2022, #8 All-Star in 2023, and the #2 All-Star in 2024. I won the Pair's Tournament A-Division with my partner in 2023. I become the one of the team's Captain from 2022 to 2024. After the season was over, I was awarded the MVP in 2023 and 2024 and earned a varsity letter every year from 2021-2024. Finally, I helped to lead my team to victory in 2024 to win the League Championship which has been sought after for many years.
