I am an 8-year veteran of the United States Army with a wide array of power generation and mechanical experience that I look forward to merging into a civilian career. I am dedicated, goal driven, organized, and take workplace safety very seriously. I am very familiar with OSHA standards and NFPA 70E/B. I have previous experience in the HVACR industry, which has helped me in my mechanical and technical understanding of troubleshooting issues that may arise with those systems, and in the realm of power generation. My background in Computer Science has also helped me greatly as an auxiliary skill to my mechanical and technical repertoire.

Work Experience

Prime Power Production Specialist at US Army Corps of Engineers

Job duties include conducting power plant operations with MEP 810 A/B 840 KW Generators with Caterpillar 3456 Diesel Engines, and power plants capable of producing 5.1 MW of generating capacity. I have conducted power plant operations, repairs, switch gear maintenance, distribution assessments and power plant maintenance in Kuwait, Iraq, The United Arab Emirates, and most recently in Qatar. I have trained personnel on electrical safety and Lock Out/ Tag Out procedures. I am familiar with testing and maintenance of circuit breakers, insulation testing, and conducting safety inspections for quality assurance purposes. I can troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems. I am proficient at ARC, TIG and MIG welding, as well as brazing.
