UD Alternative Spring Break
UDaB’s vision is an alternative break program, available to undergraduate students of all backgrounds and incomes, that sends out a variety of issue-based service learning experiences during the course of university recess periods, including spring and winter breaks. UDaB strives to be accessible to all undergraduate university students as both a facilitator of these break trips and as an advisor for other student groups that would like to plan, participate in, and reflect on service.

Dietetic Intern at The Barton Center for Diabetes Education, Inc.
The Barton Center for Diabetes Education focuses on fun and support; their goal is to educate children and their families on how to manage the daily rigors of type 1 diabetes, so they can live fuller and healthier lives. As a dietetic intern, Nicole was responsible for assisting campers with their meter and pumps, overseeing meal prep for campers, and calculating the camper’s carbohydrates before each meal.
