Much of our research done in the WestRock Observatory was focused on solar imaging.
I performed maintenance management and warehouse functions in order to maintain equipment records. I oversaw incoming supplies and equipment, simplified and standardized maintenance data, and raised the quality and accuracy of performance, cost, and parts data through improved maintenance management.
I had the challenging task of performing repairs and maintenance exclusively on the range of Bradley fighting vehicles, including anti-aircraft and armored tanks. I fixed and maintained the fire controls for mounted artillery, and troubleshooted any problems with suspension, steering, and controls.
Performed the duties of a Bradley Fighting Vehicle Turret Mechanic as I transitioned into the new occupation of Bradley Fighting Vehicle System Maintainer.
Maintains, inspects, repairs, test, and adjusts cannon assemblies, turret missile launchers, ammunition feeder-loader systems, secondary armament systems, traversing systems, elevating systems, stabilization systems, electrical power distribution systems, electrical firing systems, hydraulic systems, and sighting and fire control systems; diagnoses and corrects malfunctions in vehicular-mounted armament, associated fire control, related systems and components of BFVS, the ITV, the FISTV, and related systems; supervise Bradley fighting vehicle system turret mechanic (MOS 45T) duties, supervises lower rank soldiers and provides technical guidance to the soldiers in the accomplishment of their duties; inspects and troubleshoots: M113 series vehicle automotive systems vehicle automotive systems, Bradley fighting vehicle systems (M2/M3) series automotive/armament systems, recovery vehicle (M578) Automotive systems, recovery vehicle (M88A1) automotive systems, and light-wheel vehicle automotive systems; perform battlefield damage assessment and repair (BDAR) or track/wheel vehicle armament automotive systems.
