Noah Rothermel

Majored in Biology, Minored in Spanish
University of Iowa, Class of 2021
From Round Lake, IL
Hello, My name is Noah Rothermel. I was born in Carol Stream, IL. At an early age I moved to Lindenhurst, IL, which is a small suburb of Chicago. At around the age of 4, my parents got divorced. My brother always beat me up since he was older than me. Fast forward to schooling years, I never studied in middle school or high school, but I always got good grades. I went to Lakes Community High School in Lake Villa, Illinois. In high school, my cumulative GPA was 3.49. I participated in school soccer, the school newspaper, and worked a job. At my job, I worked as a fast food employee. After working there since I was 16, I turned 18 and was promoted to the manager position. As a manager in the restaurant business, I worked 40 hours a week while in my senior year of high school. Gaining enough credits, I decided to graduate a semester early so I can save up for college. By July of 2017, I saved over $10,000 for college, bought two motorcycles, a computer, and then left to pursue my college career. Coming to the present, as a student at the University of Iowa, I am looking to pursue a degree in B.S. Biology, with a minor in Spanish. After earning my Bachelor's degree, I plan on learning how to weld and work on vehicles as a hobby.
