Assist clients at a busy service counter, over the phone, and via email; explain library procedures, rules and service policies. Provide assistance with recurring quick information and in the use of basic bibliographic tools; refer clients to the appropriate employee for other services. Provide a professional level of customer service to users while being prepared to enforce and explain to users and other university personnel the policies and rules of the library Operate all aspects of the Circulation, Course Reserve and Booking Modules of the Library Information System, including Summit and the ILLiad interlibrary loan system. Collect and record library fines, lost book payments and other fees; and release holds on student records. Make decisions regarding exceptional circumstances such as waiver of fines, exceptions to normal policy, waiver of limitations, and interpretation of policies. Open and close the library. Process course reserves.

- Provide as-needed library coverage to this small college library. - Assist patrons in locating and accessing physical and digital library materials. - Assists in maintaining library facilities. - Perform circulation duties; checkin, checkout, shelving, and patron account assistance. - Explain library policies and procedures to patrons.

- Supervises the library and provides circulation and reference service during evening and weekend shifts. - Assists other library staff in the maintenance of library collections (physical and electronic), including cataloging and processing new materials. - Perform reference and circulation services during evening and weekend shifts. - Assist in collection management, cataloging, and management of serials. - Perform database searches. - Troubleshoot library's computers, including providing assistance to patrons.
