Nichole Quayle

Majoring in Leadership Studies
University of Iowa, Class of 2024
From Chariton, Iowa
Hi! My name is Niki, and I am a non-traditional (older adult) student who transferred in to the BLS program as a Junior (yes, Iowa accepted my credits from 25 years ago!). Im hoping to have my Organizational Leadership degree in just under three years. For over 20 years I have worked in the mortgage/banking/finance industry, with the past 16 years at Wells Fargo where I was displaced (laid-off) back in June. Im currently actively seeking a new opportunity with them. At my age and the number of years I have in it would be very difficult for me to start over at another company (pros/cons). Hopefully by finally obtaining my bachelors degree in leadership along with continuing to learn it will help open new doors for me. I grew up Southeast of Iowa City (Lone Tree), but currently living in Southern Iowa (Chariton) on 32 acres of timber with my husband, two dogs, and a newly inherited stray cat and her 5 kittens. Got to love living in the country! I have a 20-year-old son that lives in Iowa City and attended Iowa 2020/2021 but is now attending Kirkwood before planning to transfer back to Iowa. In my free time (not sure what that is) Im either messing around outside with my dogs, going for a walk, in Iowa City spending time with my son, sister, niece, and great nephew (2 ), or you might catch me at a rodeo watching my nephew who is a bull fighter. My husband and I also enjoy visiting the Gulf Coast of Florida, take long weekend/short trips to historic places and travel scenic by-ways.
