Aiden O'Neil

FIRST Robotics is a program where high school students form teams among their school and have 6 weeks to build a robot that will participate in a competition that varies from year to year. My freshman year I was a CAD student using Autodesk Inventor and I designed robot chassis and shooting systems. My sophomore year I was the sub-team lead for Computer Aided Design and I taught freshman students how to use Inventor and use their skills from PLTW DDP and apply it to real life robots. I also designed most of the robot systems for that year and we went to the World Championship with that robot. My junior year I was the sub-team lead for CAD and Mechanical Design. I was in charge of teaching new students how to use CAD and how to assemble a robot once you had those designed parts in front of you. My senior year I was the Engineering Director where I oversaw all operations regarding the design, manufacturing, assembly, and programming of the robot.
