Joshua Okafor

Joshua is a "state alum" of the United States, and a member of the prestigious "EducationUSA Opportunity Fund" scholarly community. Joshua completed his Bachelor's degree program in Biochemistry/Zoology at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and was offered automatic employment as a Graduate Assistant based on the strength of his academic performance. He obtained his Masters degree in Pharmacological Biochemistry again with an outstanding performance at the same University, and has been promoted to the rank of an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. In addition to obtaining a First Class Honors (B.S degree) and a distinction (M.S degree), Joshua was the valedictorian of both his Bachelors and Masters class. An extremely motivated young man, Joshua has received many National and International scholarships/awards/recognition; with the most recent being the "African American Doctoral Scholars Initiative Award". Joshua is an exceptional planner/organizer and is very reliable when it comes to getting things done. Joshua is currently a graduate student in the Department of Chemistry, University of Utah, and is interested in elucidating the chromatin remodeling chemistry in disease states. Aside academics, Joshua enjoys motivating the youth to the zenith of their success; to this effect, Joshua has authored a book titled "Practical Ways to Make a First Class".
