I'm a second year student in History at Georgia State University. I obtained my M.A. and B.A. both in Africana Studies with a minor in Philosophy at undergrad. My interest is the study of Black migrations in the Atlantic World with a specific focus on the African diaspora. It also encompasses the socio-economic implications of such migrations and the dynamics of cultural cross-pollination of the arts through music. In tandem with this ideological inclination, I wrote a book called Afrobeat Got Soul in 2021 that argues on the analytical aspects of the cross-pollination of African and Western music.
