S.T.A.R.S.

Through the Miami Valley Women's Center in Xenia, OH I served on a team of about twelve other college women discipling and mentoring young middle school girls about purity and ways to stay healthy mentally and emotionally. Our team would drive every Tuesday to Warner Middle School in Xenia and meet with a group of about forty girls after school. Our group leader gave lessons each week for the whole group and then we would break up into smaller groups to further discuss what we had learned or how the girls were doing in their own lives. We set goals, created strategies about how to reach those goals, and we allowed the girls time to talk about anything that they were struggling with.
