Peter Michalski

My passion for design began early in high school, in my Computer Aided Drafting class. In that very class, my high school teacher introduced me to the ACE (Architecture, Construction, Engineering) Mentor program in downtown Chicago. There, students from around the Chicagoland area were teamed together and paired with mentors from said disciplines and worked together to build a hypothetical building on a real site plan in Chicago. With an insight to real design application, I applied and received an internship with the prestigious architecture firm Perkins+Will. While working, my love for design was confirmed. After going through the core design programs at Iowa State University, I was one of 36 out of a total 165 applicants to be admitted into the Industrial Design Program. Now, I am an aspiring Industrial Designer in my Junior year at Iowa State University. I'm looking for the opportunity to work and meet designers to further my experience.
