I began programming roughly in 2009 through reading a book about C#. My interest grew to the point where I would constantly be researching new and interesting ways to solve problems. Through this research, I discovered the concept of functional programming, and was enthralled by its simplicity and mathematical foundation. This interest led me to learn lesser known languages like F#, Clojure, and Haskell. At Cedarville, I am learning to refine my programming skills to make use of my large amount of knowledge. I plan to take advantage of as many opportunities as I can here, including participating in programming competitions, and following the Cybersecurity track offered inside the Computer Science program. Currently I am looking to gain real world experience through internships or other similar opportunities. In the future I hope to go to graduate school to study either cybersecurity or artificial intelligence.
