Philippe Gene Bungabong

Student at Wesleyan University
I am a Freeman Asian Scholar pursuing Wesleyan Universitys 3-2 dual degree program with Columbia University. At Wesleyan, I am currently majoring in Economics and minoring in Data Analysis, while later at Columbia, I intend to study Operations Research and Financial Engineering. A youth leader and an aspiring tech entrepreneur, I am the founder and president of YouthHack Connecticut, the ninth chapter of a global nonprofit that operates in 7 countries. My work here allows me to advocate for youth entrepreneurship in technology, a cause I am truly passionate about. I have also co-developed an electricity-regulating smart system and an urban commuting web app. These projects garnered me four international awards, a publication, and a pending patent. It is my grandest goal to someday combine STEM and business in improving the lives of others, especially those from developing countries like the Philippines, my motherland. If you are interested in working together, connect with me here on LinkedIn or through my email, philippe@youthhack.net! I would love to share ideas with you.
