Development and oversight of initiatives to grow the research enterprise through local, state, and international cross-institutional collaborations and industry partnership Direct and manage the research office, sponsored programs, compliance, and technology transfer functions for the institution Provide leadership and direction to staff responsible for research administration, education, and training Work collaboratively with departmental chairs and faculty to assess and maintain core research facilities, including equipment, supplies, and space Represent TCMC on regional economic development councils and work closely with regional Chambers of Commerce to identify opportunities for companies to utilize TCMCs research incubator space Develop and lead the strategic planning effort for research and organize research planning efforts with chairs and the Deans office Work closely with chairs in research faculty recruitment, planning, space assignment and availability, and resource identification Define resources for research in collaboration with the CFO and manage expenditure of department funds Enhance resources for research by working closely with institutional development staff Establish and disseminate student research opportunities in collaboration with departmental chairs and faculty Develop and oversee graduate research training programs in collaboration with departmental chairs and faculty
