I check in all incoming packages for proper inventory count and then process this product into a sterile storeroom facility. I coordinate with the medical gas suppliers to keep the appropriate number and types of gas on hand to facilitate our customers needs. I perform what shipping duties are needed and I assist in the investigation of lost packages. I have a thorough knowledge of UPS and Fed-Ex on line systems and am able to access all functions quickly. I work with the PeopleSoft system to access purchase order information; perform inter unit transfers and patient billing procedures. I process and keep records of all incoming packing slips using the ImageNow recording program. I follow policies and procedures governing the handling of confidential information as defined by Cincinnati Childrens mission and applicable laws and regulations. I have developed knowledge and professional skills through cross-training, literature and attendance at department meetings, and I head up the training and development of newly hired receiving staff.
