My name is Quinn Fecht (he/him). I grew up in central NY state, where I joined my local historical society and volunteered at a museum, including assisting the curator. I have since moved further north to pursue my education.
I'm a student at SUNY Potsdam, currently pursuing my bachelors degree in Archaeological Studies while also minoring in Biomedical Anthropology, Museum Studies, Art History, and Classical Studies. I have a particular interest in bioarchaeology and human origins. I am overall fascinated by all things relating to archaeology, museums, anthropology, geography, and history.
I work as a museum interpreter at the Remington Museum of Art, where in 2026 I organized the first ever pride event hosted in Ogdensburg, NY.
I'm also an active member of the on-campus Anthropology Club, continue to volunteer with my hometown museum and historical society, and am a member of the New York State Archaeological Association, 1000 Islands chapter.

7-Day Voyage: Trash to Treasure - Art by Quinn Fecht, SUNY Potsdam
Over the course of seven days, discarded items of litter around Potsdam, NY were collected and then put together as this work. This piece portrays a sea-faring ship made of many people's trash, its crew now hunting for treasure. They say one's trash is another's treasure.
This gives a small glimpse into the types of things littered by people in their everyday lives, whether on purpose or mistake, over the course of just one week, illustrating how much of an impact we have in the amount of trash that accumulates even when we may not realize it.
