I was inducted in to the Lambda Pi Eta National Communications Honors Society in the Spring semester of my junior year at RWU. The requirements for being in this society include: having above a 3.2 cumulative GPA and having a B+ average in all communications classes taken over the course of all years at RWU.

Rachel Bimonte was recognized for studying abroad

In the Spring semester of my sophomore year, I studied abroad in Florence, Italy and attended the International Studies Institute of Florence. I completed my Core Concentration, Italian Studies, while I was there and also learned how to be part of the Italian culture as I lived, volunteered and went to school there for four months.

Society of Professional Journalists

In the Fall of my junior year I was elected Treasurer of the club and oversaw the funds of the club as well as contributed to e-board duties. I attended two conferences as treasurer, one at the National Conference in New Orleans in Sept. 2017 and one in New York City at John Jay College for the Region 1 Conference. In my Senior year, I will be taking on the role of President of the club on the RWU campus, Region 1.
