I'm a student at the University of Rhode Island double majoring in Psychology and Sociology on the Pre-Med Track with the intentions of becoming a Pediatrician. My Leadership Studies minor and participation in the Honor's Program have allowed me to develop a wide variety of skills which are useful in different work environments. My top 5 StrengthQuests strengths are Achiever, Includer, Competition, Restorative, and Positivity. I'm involved with many aspects of my school such as Tour Guiding and the Student Organization of Leadership Consultants. I plan retreats, facilitate activities, and debrief the group to connect the activity to the goal. As a result of being a part of these organizations, I have strengthened many skills such as public speaking, interpersonal skills, leadership, and teamwork. As I progress through my education, I hope to learn even more and get hands-on experience in the field.

Leadership Institute Peer Leader
After a rigorous interview process, I was chosen to be one of 6 female student peer leaders at URI's Leadership Institute. I was partnered up with one of the 6 male student peer leaders and together we mentored a group of sixteen incoming freshmen. I taught the students about different leadership theories and how they can apply them to their daily lives, I facilitated and debriefed multiple activities, I connected with the students and encouraged them to think on a deeper level throughout the three days, and I fostered an inclusive environment so that everyone felt comfortable and welcomed.

As a member of URI's Student Organization Leadership Consultants, I facilitate and debrief activities on retreats for student organizations. These organizations have goals they want to achieve and as a facilitator, I help them accomplish these goals at retreats. Collaborating with a team of co-facilitators, a lead, and shadows, we plan the agenda that will best serve the needs of the organization who's retreat we are facilitating. I take great pride in ensuring there is a welcoming inclusive environment for all participants and I encourage active participation of every participant. I maintain a positive, motivating attitude, I'm adaptive and ready to change the agenda on the fly. I am continuously expanding my skills of Interpersonal communication, teamwork, and working with diverse groups with different backgrounds.
