As a Para-Professional EDGE Mentor it is my responsibility to lead a group of 10-12 incoming Freshman students throughout their first year of college. It is my responsibility to keep track of all the students in my group and to use good communication skills in keeping up with the CAPP Staff, the students, and other EDGE Mentors at Millikin University. As an EDGE Mentor, it is your job to be a selfless servant leader; focusing on your students and being a positive representative of the Millikin University staff.
As Millikin University's School of Theatre and Dance Social Media Marketer, this job includes a wide variety of work that not only goes into helping designing and redesigning all social media applications, but as well as helping with audition files/paperwork and creating new ideas that will help the program grow to its fullest potential.
During the first week of classes in both fall and spring semesters, it is also Mainstage Unified Auditions week for all of the shows during the semester. My first job is to take all of the headshots for all of the people who audition for the mainstage shows. I then go back and edit the pictures and turn them in to the director, Mary Black, of the School of Theatre and Dance. My second job is to go to all the photo calls and take production photos of the cast of each production that is put on at the University.
