Randall grew-up in the Western Kansas rural community of Tribune, Ks. within Greeley Co. He spent a large sum of his summers helping on the family farm that was established by his great-grandfather in 1929. Before graduating high school Randall was nominated to the United States Naval, Military, and Merchant Marine Academies by the then Congressman Keith G. Sibelius and Senator Bob Dole. Randall choose at that time to not attend due to family illness and his long standing commitment to his family. Later Randall was able to attend college and completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology and Biology with Chemistry as his minor. Randall worked in the engineering field and later in the Pharmaceutical field. He is now establishing himself in the Cybersecurity field as he stands on his knowledge of Computer / Software Validation experience gained within the Pharmaceutical field. He was responsible for leading the 21CFRpart11 program at the Abbott Labs facility in McPherson, Ks. and was also responsible for the validation of the Laboratory LIMS and Millenium32 software. The validation encompassed network security and disaster recovery. Randall will complete a Master program at Kansas State University in December 2017 in Professional Masters of Technology with concentration in UAS and Cybersecurity. He has completed Transformational Leadership training, Risk Management for UAS Operators, Pilots, and Ground Personnel, Managerial Finances, Metrics, and Analytics, Open Source Cyber Surveillance, Advanced Topics in Cyber Data Fusion, Sense and Avoid Technologies. in UAS .

As a Research Technologist I schedule and perform preventative maintenance and coordinate repair of all equipment to reduce operational downtime. I maintain and enhance metadata for individual weather stations all across the state of Kansas and document visits/engineering changes. I repair and test equipment to assure proper measurement capabilities. I calibrate, install and operate environmental research instrumentation for field experiments and weather data collection. This includes the installation of 30ft. weather station towers. I access and monitor experimental sites and manage all weather data library vehicles. I construct and install hardware interfaces for scientific instruments. I am adapt in various computer operating systems to insure new and old equipment can be interfaced with computers. I write software for data loggers and demonstrate operation to graduate students and hourly assistants. I supervise hourly student employees and temporary laboratory technicians. I distinguish between software or hardware problems when equipment malfunctions. I manage the weather data library electronics lab, machine shop, and storage.
