I'm an Elder Millennial that lives in a small town in western Pennsylvania with my spouse, our teenage daughter, seven cats, and a bully dog. After spending twenty years cooking to help support my small family, I was devastated by the news that I was developing widespread arthritis and spinal degeneration (not surprising considering fifty pound sacks of sugar and full five gallon soup pots were regularly handled by yours truly despite my whopping 5'3" frame). I loved cooking. It was hard work, often thankless and in sweltering heat, but I learned a lot and gained many friends. Once the shock had worn away, I decided that I would go back to school. But for what? I considered my options, as I've got a handful of talents and hobbies, and eventually decided on Game Art and Development, as it's a fairly new field as a standalone, and my love for both video games and art would both be utilized. Year one has given me many tools to help me along the way, as well as introducing me to new concepts that will be incredibly useful in my journey.
