Lauren Salliotte '20 is a student at Lake Forest Academy. Along with volunteering in her community at the Nuestro Center, she enjoys performing in musicals, directing her school's Future Business Leaders of America team, and participating as a team lead for Irshad Manji's Moral Courage group. She is also studying abroad in Salamanca, Spain in the summer of 2018.

Nuestro Center
Lauren Salliotte participated as a bilingual tutor for the Hispanic community of Highwood, Illinois, by volunteering every week to help students at the Nuestro Center. The Nuestro Center is an after-school homework club designed to provide a safe space for children to grow academically.

Lauren Salliotte was elected as the Vice President for Future Business Leaders of America. She is working on getting FBLA involved in local competitions and service events. LFA is planning competing in the spring local and national competitive events.

Moral Courage
The Moral Courage Team leads, elected by Dr. Patrick Finnessy, are academic individuals from the LFA community chosen to work with Irshad Manji on her concept of Moral Courage. These team leads strive to make LFA a better community through informational seminars, open discussions and presentations to eliminate the toxic environment of current political discourse.
