I'm an undergraduate junior studying mass communication and anthropology at UALR. Though I currently live in Little Rock, my experiences and education stretch around the world due to my roots as a military brat. Passionate and determined, I've worked hard to hone my skills in writing, reporting, and creating media, while also finding time to give back to the community. I'm currently interning at the Center for Artistic Revolution, an intersectional LGBT+ nonprofit. I've also recently been honored the Douthit Scholarship through UALR's mass communication department, including an internship at Arkansas Public Media's KUAR public radio.
As a high schooler, I applied and was accepted to attend the Far East Journalism Conference in Tokyo, Japan, as well as the Yale Model United Nations conference in Seoul, Korea. In addition, I was able to study social science at Arkansas Governor's School three years ago. These experiences have had a significant influence on my passion for journalism and social activism.
