Professor Richard N. Jackson. (Number upon request) I am a Parole Officer for the State of Arizona, supervising a caseload of convicted felons and ensuring public safety. I am also an adjunct faculty member in the Public Safety Department at Glendale Community College in Glendale, Arizona. My goal is to become a full time faculty member within an Administration of Justice department as a full time career. A chronological list of my assignments for the last ten years or so of my career with the Phoenix Police Department included: From my assignment within the Community Corrections Division, I engage with law enforcement and public and private services to ensure the successful reintegration of convicted individuals. I have supervised a diverse caseload in many different neighborhoods of the Metro Phoenix region., (I receive over 100 hours of department training per year which adds to my skills to interact with public entities while remaining highly skilled in security and supervision techniques. I am a trained department instructor responsible for training new officers. As an adjunct professor at Glendale Community College, I instruct a variety of classes in multi deliveries. Course taught include Criminal Justice, Criminology, Patrol Procedures, Corrections and Community Relations. I am well versed in online delivery of subjects and am experienced in the use of the Canvas system. Educationally I have received an Associate of Science Degree from Ventura College, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminology and a Master of Education Degree in Educational Leadership along with a Certificate in Corrections.
