I grew up in Michigan's Upper Peninsula and earned my B.A. in Political Science from Grand Valley State University. I then obtained my M.A. in International Studies from Simon Fraser University's School of International Studies in Vancouver, British Colombia. Currently, I am obtaining my M.A. in Biology from Miami University as a Global Field Expedition student. I am particularly interested in transnational illegal wildlife trade and global conservation policy.
