NJCA
A member of the NJCA executive board and professor at Kean University, Professor Bill Kolbenschlag, came to the PRSSA as a client. Prior to the event, I created posters of the program schedule. I also created posters for the welcome letter and the meet-the-speaker for the event. I generated a QR code for easier access to the program schedule. I assigned student volunteers to panels that worked best for them depending on their own schedules. When the day of the event came (April 1) I was a Student Volunteer. I helped Professor Kolbenschlag coordinate where each discussion/panel would be held. I helped attendees register for the event. I directed attendees to classrooms if they needed help finding a certain discussion/panel. Once discussions began, I would sit in and be available in case there was a technological issue. For some discussions, I monitored the time. Most importantly, I made sure that the other Student Volunteers got to eat.

NJCA Panel Discussion "Chat GPT and Academic Integrity Post-Covid"
I was invited to participate on a panel titled, "Chat GPT and Academic Integrity Post-Covid," alongside two of my professors -- Professor Kolbenschlag and Dr. Yuan -- as well as Osmond and Gazzara. We discussed whether or not to introduce Chat GPT to students, whether should it be something to be feared, and how it could impact the future of academic integrity. Funny enough, all the questions for the panel were generated by Chat GPT!

From Spring 2018-Spring 2020, I held the Public Relations Chair for my sorority. I was responsible for running all social media accounts and creating content for those accounts. I also was responsible for creating flyers for events or fundraisers. Fall of 2019 I held the position of Vice President. Prior to the start of the Fall 2019 semester, I went through Leadership Training held over the summer by Kean University. As Vice President, I was responsible for coordinating and planning any community service we did. We donated clothing, diapers, sanitary products, toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc. to the YWCA in Elizabeth. We collected toys for a toy drive held by Lambda Upsilon Lambda towards the holiday season. Every month, active members were required to donate $3 to a charity voted on by them. From Spring 2020-Spring 2021, I held the position of President. As President, I was in charge of running the weekly chapter meetings. I met with each active sister to discuss what position they held and their duties. I delegated administrative duties to the Vice President. I maintained contact with the advisor of our chapter, acting as a messenger to her and a messenger of her to my organization. I was responsible for reporting to Kean University's Greek Senate when needed. I was also responsible for filling and submitting documentation required by the Greek Senate.

Legal Intern at Jersey Mike's Subs

I worked with the Legal Department and researched articles for them in order to avoid any type of legal crisis. I would write a paper based on the research conducted, and submit it to the head of the department by the end of the day. For example, I researched plastic ban laws in the US so that the company could get ahead of it.

Marketing Intern at Jersey Mike's Subs

During my first week there I was responsible for producing Press Releases for upcoming Grand Openings of Jersey Mike's Subs locations. I also was introduced to search engine marketing that week. During my second week there I worked with the social media team. We held a photoshoot on the beach, taking pictures of subs. We even went to the boardwalk and the subs got to play some games (and we took photos, of course). I was responsible for creating captions for these photos. During my last and third week there, I worked with the design team. I was introduced to Photoshop and created maps for Jersey Mike's Subs locations.

Final for Human and Justice Rights, "What is Femicide and Why Does it Occur?"
This paper addresses femicide, specifically, in North America. It was a final/term paper. Femicide is the murder of a woman based on the fact that is a woman. However, not all victims of femicide look-alikes, occur in the same location, nor did they live the same lifestyles. Femicide does include gender, but there are other characterizations that define femicides, such as race and gender norms. Femicide is the broadest term because there are many forms of it. It is important to know what femicide is because it is an issue of human rights that is occurring globally. Bringing awareness to this matter would help improve issues regarding feminism and human rights. Keywords: femicide, disposable, patriarchy

Student Research Day 2019
My presentation, "What Subject Area(s) do Non-English Majors at Kean University Struggle to Write Essays for the Most?", was started as part of my research for my Research and Technology course at Kean. I wanted to figure out why students hated writing essays so much. What I ended up finding in my research through one-on-one interviews is that female students at Kean University possess better study habits than men. They worked harder to study and complete essays, all while balancing two or three "extracurriculars", such as having a job. I was personally selected by my Research and Technology professor, Joshua Burnett, to present at the Student Research Day in 2019. I was one of two students to represent the English department. In the link, you will have to scroll to the 64th page of the PDF (on PDF marked page 126) to find my abstract. This is very special to me because it is the first time I have been published.
