Training and Development
The training and development sessions allowed for the opportunity to put into practice what we had learned in class. With the simple goal of helping freshman sign up for their already constructed Merit pages we were able to complete training sessions within fifteen minutes or less. The goal of the session was to guide students through the claiming of their Merit page, show them how it would be beneficial to them and help them add one acitvity or experience to their page. During the training sessions we had an attainable and measurable goal that allowed us to see if we had been successful in our training session or not. After completing most of the sessions, it has been a rewarding and successful experience. After presenting to the current communication 101 sessions we have reached approximately half of the freshman class who have now claimed and added at least one item to their Merit page.

Open Mic Night
Planning and organizing the open mic event on campus allowed me to communicate with a large group of people. The coordinating and planning that went into the monthly event allowed me to develop my skills of communication in real time event planning. Aside from organizing events for my peers this position also allowed me the opportunity to work with local artists and bring them on campus for acoustic concerts throughout the year. This helped in developing the skills required to determine what artists needs were and work with the campus to ensure that all needs and requests were met.

History of Criticism and Public Address
In this paper I worked to not only research the life of Barbara Bush but also assess her public speaking skills by analyzing a commencement speach she gave. Through this project I learned how communication is a permanent aspect in all of our lives, even if it is unexpected. The process of researching and analyzing a speech given by someone who was not a professional speaker taught me about areas in my delivery that I could improve upon. It also showed the importance of knowing your audience in any situation.

Public Relations Crisis Communication
In this group project we were given a crisis scenario based off a company we had created over the course of the semester. Within a 24 hour period our group had to work to create our crisis communication plan, press releases and our solution to the crisis. This project helped me learn the value of communication within a group and see the effects of making decisions in a short time period.

Kohl's Internship Project
Through my Kohls internship I worked with students from colleges in Milwaukee and Greenbay. Written communication was an important aspect of our group project & much of our work was done remotely. While working on this project I came to appreciate the importance of small group communication especially the bonds that are developed early on. After finishing this experience I felt better prepared to work with a group and face the challenges of staying connected and accountable even from a distance.

Philosophy of Communication
My philosophy of communication revolves around communicating in a professional, Christ-centered manner. Throughout my time at Wisconsin Lutheran College I have learned that this involves incorporating all aspects of communication into what we do and being aware of how our communications are perceived by those around us.

Public Relations Community Service Project
In this project we worked with an organization to enhance their public image utilizing skills that we had learned in class. By completeling the three different projects for the Christian Women's Leadership Circle I learned how to communicate with an organization and create something that was beneficial to the group. Since the project was developed based on the clients needs and our groups abilities, I learned how to work with the organization and set feasible deadlines and goals within a group.
